Please join the City of Cayce and our Cayce Department of Public Safety officers as we remember and honor the lives lost during the 9/11 terror attacks on our Country by raising the American symbol of hope, honor and patriotism over the Blossom St Bridge

Saturday, September 11th at 8:30 AM

Where: Knox Abbott Drive near the Blossom Street Bridge

*parking and traffic information below

At 8:46 AM, the same time that American Airlines Flight 11 was flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, our officers will raise the American flag in remembrance of the lives lost during the September 11, 2001 terror attack. A moment of silence will follow the raising of the American Flag. The flag will remain until 10:28 AM, the same time that the North Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed on that tragic day in our history. On the 20th anniversary of these deadly attacks, we honor the 2,977 lives lost; 414 of them were first responders.

*Traffic Notes: The inside lanes of Knox Abbott Drive near the bridge will be blocked beginning at 8:00 am on September 11. The outside lanes will be open and traffic will be directed accordingly by our officers. If you plan to join us, please park in the Southern First Bank, Indigo at Brickworks or Advenir at One Eleven parking lots. There will be a space for you to view the raising of the flag on both sides of Knox Abbott Drive. For your safety, please do not attempt to cross the street.
